Match Day 16: The Saints F.C 3-1 BUL F.C
Second half substitute Owen Kasule scored a beautiful second half goal that spurred The Saints F.C to a morale boosting 3-1 over BUL F.C at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium, Kampala.
This was the third victory for The Saints in 16 games, the first under new coach Moses Basena (replaced George Nsiimbe in the mid-season window).
Half time of the tactical encounter had ended goal-less.
Fred Agandu, signed from BUL FC in the window turned guns against his former pay masters with a well taken strike as the home side took the lead.
Hashim Sempala restored parity shortly after with a 83rd minute equalizer.
Two minutes later, Owen Kasule scored a penalty before Yasin Mugume scored the winner deep in injury time.
The victory earns The Saints temporary bragging rights, only jumping Simba sports club who did not play on Tuesday.
Basena’s club has now picked 13 points from 16 matches.
The Saints’ next match will still be at Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole against Soana on Saturday 5th March 2016.
On the other hand, BUL hosts JMC Hippos on Friday, 26th February 2016 in the Kakindu derby.
