Kirinya-Jinja 0-1 Soana
Allan Kayiwa’s first half goal was enough for visitors Soana to prevail over Kirinya-Jinja 1-0 at Bugembe Stadium in Jinja on Saturday.
The result, made sure by Kayiwa’s seventh minute strike, lifts Soana out of the relegation zone to 12th on nine points in a 16-team Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).
Defeat for Kikinya, who have not had a shabby start, has them eighth on 11 points, five away from leaders Police. The Jinja side have three wins in eight matches to their name.
Soana have now won two times in eight matches, drawing three and losing as many. They are next in action on Tuesday when they host desperate UPDF at Kavumba.
