- KCCA 3-1 Express
KCCA rallied from a goal down to win 3-1 against rivals Express to move within a point of winning the championship.
Mustafa Kiiza and Muzamir Mutyaba scored wonderful free kicks before Allan Kyambadde added a third with another beauty.
John Revita had given the Red Eagles a deserved lead inside the quarter hour mark.
The Red Eagles began well threatening on the left with Disan Galiwango causing all sorts of problems and he won a penalty in the 14th minute which Revita calmly converted.
Eric Kambale should have doubled the lead moments later but his goal bound effort was blocked by Timothy Awany although the forward takes the blame for taking long to shoot.
KCCA started to dominate possession but without a breakthrough as they resorted to long range efforts that didn’t find target.
Mike Mutebi withdrew Lawrence Bukenya for Ibrahim Sadam Juma at the half hour mark but the goal arrived at the death of half time when Kiiza curled a free kick into the net.
Mutyaba added another in the 62nd minute before Kyambadde sealed it with a goal in the 76th minute.
KCCA are now on 59 points, nine better than Vipers with three games to go.
