Shaban Mohammed is finally a KCCA player.  The reigning Fufa Footballer of the Year was on Thursday unveiled before the media at the Star Times Stadium after agreeing personal terms with the club.

The 19-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) champions to end the ping pong that has characterized his move.

Shaban’s old club, Onduparaka, had insisted the player – who long tendered in his transfer request – would not move but a letter from Fufa giving the switch a thumbs-up cleared KCCA to complete their deal.

Shaban scored 13 goals in the 2016/2017 league season for Onduparaka, the same club he helped gain promotion to the top tier from the Fufa Big League the campaign before.

It was not just Shaban KCCA closed the transfer deadline with, however. Shaban was unveiled together with midfielder Allan Kateregga, who joins on Loan from Kenyan outfit AFC Leopards till December 31.

Shaban joins strikers Derrick Nsimbabi, Tito Okello, Kayongo Ssekamatte, Patrick Kaddu, Faisam Malango and Abubaker Sadiq Tijani at KCCA.

The other signings KCCA made this season include goalkeeper Jamil Maliyamungu, defender Filbert Obenchan, midfielders Abudallah Salim, Sadam Juma, Ibrahim Wamannah and Faisal Kiberu.
