KCCA FC 3 – 1 Ndejje University FC

KCCA strengthened their grip at the summit of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) following a 3-1 thrashing of Ndejje University at Lugogo Stadium on Saturday.

All goals came in the second half with Muzamiru Mutyaba, Muwadda Mawejje and Steven Serwadda scoring for KCCA and Anwar Ntege getting the visitors consolation.

Scorer of KCCA’s third goal Serwada won the Pilsner Man of the Match award.

KCCA’s seventh victory in 10 matches saw them stretch the lead at the summit by four points.

Manager Mike Mutebi’s men now have 24 points, with current champions Vipers in third place on 18.

Vipers have played two games fewer though. The Venoms are next in action on Sunday against Police at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

This was Ndejje’s seventh defeat of the campaign, subjecting the league newcomers to third from bottom with seven points.
