KCCA were on Saturday officially crowned Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) champions, just over a week after they defended their title with two games to spare.
The champions beat relegated Sadolin Paints 2-1 at Phillip Omondi Stadium in their final league game of the season to end with 66 points.
Geoffrey Sserunkuma, scoring his 21st goal of the season to finish league’s top scorer, and Tom Masiko scored for the 12-time winners while Karim Ndugwa netted the visitors consolation.
KCCA did not take long to break the deadlock, Sserunkuma poking home on 10 minutes after Derrick Nsibambi had done the rest.
Masiko doubled the advantage with a fine strike from just outside the 18-yard area midway the second half to send the home crowd into even louder cheers and manager Mike Mutebi into applause.
The visitors pulled one back in the 61st minute, Ndugwa heading in past custodian Benjamin Ocan, who misjudged the a cross.
Both teams had chances to improve the scoreline but referee Brian Nsubuga soon blew the final whistle, leading to wild celebrations on the pitch.
Fufa president Moses Magogo handed over the title to captain Denis Okot and the team partied away with their fans into the night.
Focus for KCCA now moves to the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup group tie game against Club Africain on Tuesday.
Elsewhere, Lweza joined JMC Hippos and Sadolin Paints as the relegated teams despite the Wankulukuku side beating Police 1-0 on the final day
