KCCA edged closer to their title defence thanks to a 1-0 win over Express at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.Paul Mucureezi scored the only goal of the game with six minutes to go to send the partisan travelling crowd into frenzy.
It was a game of little chances with the hosts in command for most parts of the game but failed to put away chances.
Simon Sserunkuma, Joseph Semujju and Farouk Matovu came close but were poor in front of Benjamin Ochan goal.
All signs of a goalless draw were visible until the 84th minute when Mucureezi hit a half volley to send KCCA on 51 points, two better than SC Villa who drew 2-2 with Police at Masaka.
Emmanuel Okwi and Umar Kasumba put the Blues in the lead inside 55 minutes but late goals from Rahmat Ssenfuka and Anthony Bongole equalised within the last twenty minutes.
The draw left the Jogoos on 49 points but with just three games left, their title hopes seem to be over as KCCA, log leaders have two games in hand but still two points up.
