KCCA finally implode, Vipers draw in Arua

After showing signs in the last five games, KCCA finally imploded with a 2-1 home defeat against URA at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

Shafik Kagimu bagged a brace in a game the visitors dominated and deserved nothing less than all points.

The URA skipper pounced on a loose ball to score in the 25th minute but Timothy Awany drew the hosts level in the 61st minute from a penalty after Mutyaba was bundled down in the area.

Kagimu made the points safe again with a penalty ten minutes to time after Mustafa Kizza brought down Joachim Ojera in the area.

The loss was KCCA’s second this campaign and only their first at home this campaign.

With Vipers drawing goalless in Arua against Onduparaka, KCCA now lead the log by three points as they are on 45 points while the reigning champions are on 42 after 21 games.

At Ndejje, hosts fall to Mubarak Nsubuga’s 77th minute strike as George Ssimwogerere picked his second win in four league games.

The Red Eagles are now on 28 points in 8th position while Ndejje stay third from bottom with 16 points.

Elsewhere, Maroons pummelled visitors Paidha Black Angels 3-0 with Rashid Agau, Pius Obuya and Bronson Nsubuga on the score sheet in the second half.

The league continues on Wednesday with SC Villa at home to Police, Tooro United visit Bright Stars while Bul are away to Nyamityobora
