KCCA manager Mike Mutebi believes the game against Vipers will go a long way in deciding the destiny of the league more so if his side edge it.

The two sides face off at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo on Thursday afternoon with KCCA four points clear at the summit on 52 points.

A win for the home team will stretch lead to seven points with only five games to play and literally see KCCA wrestle the championship from the Venoms.

“When KCCA defeats Vipers, the road to winning the championship will be softened,” said Mutebi. “We shall have 90% chances of winning this year’s league title if we win,” he added.

His counterpart Edward Golola says the focus is to trim the KCCA lead.

“Our focus is on trying to get all three points,” he said. “We want to reduce the margin,” he added.

“We have prepared the players physically and mentally and if they follow our instructions we shall win.

Vipers will rely on Daniel Sserunkuma and Innocent Wafula for inspiration while the hosts will hope Mike Mutyaba continues with his fine form.
