  • MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo 4pm

Following an abysmal show last season, KCCA start the journey to end a three year trophy less campaign with a tricky tie against Wakiso Giants.

The 13-time champions started with the same fixture last season winning 3-0 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu but failed to replicate same form losing 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Lugogo on the last day of the campaign.

They will however be optimistic of victory this time with the fire power at their disposal in the names of returnees Muhammad Shaban and Allan Okello.

They are also boosted by the recovery of Geoffrey Wasswa and Emmanuel Wasswa who missed last season through injury.

Wakiso Giants will be a tricky customer though and could pose a threat to the Kasasiro’s target of a perfect start.

Forwards Moses Aliro, Titus Ssematimba and creative midfielder Ibrahim Kasule will be key for the Purple Sharks if they are to leave Lugogo with at least a point.
