KCCA lost further ground on leaders SC Villa as they were held goalless by stubborn Mbarara City at Kakyeka Stadium on Tuesday.
The Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) champions remain second on the log with 23 points after 13 matches but see rivals Villa open a five-point gap at the top.
Mbarara’s monumental draw, their sixth of the season, keeps them 12th on 15 points.
In Jinja, Maroons twice surrendered the lead to draw 2-2 with hosts Kirinya-Jinja at Bugembe Stadium.
Eddy Kapampa gave coach Asaph Mwebaze’s men the lead on 13 minutes but Kirinya hit back through Musa Esenu on 56.
The visitors regained the lead through Sydney Chika nine minutes from time but Faizal Muwawu levelled at the death to ensure the hosts salvaged a point.
