Holders KCCA were bundled out of the Cecafa Kagame Cup after suffering a shock 1-0 loss to Burundi champions Le Messager Ngozi.

But UPL champions Express progressed to their first semi-finals in more than a decade with a convincing 3-1 over Tanzania’s Young Africans.
Muzamiru Mutyaba, Godfrey Lwesibawa and Eric Kambale scored for the Red Eagles at the National stadium, Dar es Salaam before Paul Godfrey pulled one back for the Wanainchi.

Express progressed as Group A leaders with 7 points from three games.
For KCCA, the loss to the Burundian side means they finish bottom of Group B with only three points in as many games.
Express will now face Zanzibar’s KMKM in the semi-finals on Tuesday August 10.
