KCCA 6-3 Police
KCCA stretched their lead at the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) summit by eight points following a 6-3 victory over Police in an exciting encounter played at Lugogo on Friday.
The 12-time Ugandan champions now have 33 points, eight more than second-placed Vipers SC, who have played three matches fewer.
Muzamiru Mutyaba helped himself to a brace and Julius Poloto, Mike Mutyaba, Jackson Nunda and Patrick Kaddu added the others for KCCA.
Police’s Juma Balinya also grabbed a brace before Derrick Kakooza added the other but KCCA’s firepower was just too much.
Poloto opened the scoring on 15 minutes before the two Mutyabas and Nunda completed a 5-1 first half salute.
Balinya, who had scored Police’s first goal on the stroke of half time, added the second 11 minutes into the second half but Patrick Henry Kaddu made it 6-2 on the hour.
Kakooza added his name to the scoresheet for Police seven minutes from time but all could only count for consolation. Defeat saw Police drop one to seventh with 20 points.
