- St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 4pm [AS Kigali lead 2-0 from 1st leg]
Uganda’s Caf Confederation Cup representatives KCCA believe its mission possible to overturn a 2-0 deficit as they take on AS Kigali at Kitende on Wednesday.
KCCA lost the first leg after failing to raise the minimum number of players required for the Caf game but Mike Mutebi who was among the staff that tested positive for the first leg says they are ready to make amends on the field.
“It is mission possible. I’m fully recovered from Covid-19 and I can’t tell you the joy I have working with my team again,” Mutebi Daily Monitor on Monday. “We believe we can make it.”
KCCA need to score at least twice without conceding to draw the tie level and a three goal margin to go through without penalties.
“Our game plan has never diverted away from attacking football. Expect that and more when we meet Kigali. We won’t be under pressure to score in early but goals must rain.”
KCCA failed the Caf Confederation Cup test in 2019 after falling to Algeria’s AC Paradou 4-0 on aggregate following a goalless draw at Lugogo.
