KCCA run riot against N’tyobora

Sunday result

KCCA 6-1 Nyamityobora

That KCCA pummeled Nyamityobora into submission as the 12-time national league champions ran away 6-1 winners at Lugogo on Sunday.

Patrick Kaddu Timothy Awany, Allan Okello, Mike Mutyaba (brace) and Jackson Nunda were on target for coach Mike Mutebi’s rampaging boys. Dada Juma scored Nyamityobora’s goal.

Kaddu opened the floodgates on four minutes when he headed home Timothy Awany’s long ball in Sunday’s only StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL)

KCCA doubled the advantage 18 minutes later when Nyamityobora goalkeeper Hillary Jomi brought down KCCA midfielder Okello in the box for Awany to superbly convert from the resultant penalty.

The entire first half was all about KCCA passing the ball to near precision, with Okello crowning it with an individual low drive for a 3-0 lead.

If Okello headlined the first half, the second belonged to reborn midfielder Mike Mutyaba, who came on for Allan Kyambadde.

First, Mutyaba picked up the ball from deep in his half and made a solo run before unleashing a thunderbolt that made it 4-0 on 62 minutes.

Eight minutes later, he found himself unmarked in the box after great interplay between Sadam Juma and Lawrence Bukenya.

The forward controlled the ball and shot it with his weaker foot for KCCA’s fifth goal. The sixth was some class.

Like he normally does, Nunda calmly faked the Nyamityobora defence to get shooting space before placing the ball beyond the visitors goalkeeper.

Nyamityobora soon made a change to the scoreboard but Dada’s goal late on could not even give them any consolation.
