Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) giants SC Villa stayed on course for a double with after storming the semi-finals of the 2018 Stanbic Uganda Cup.

On Saturday, KCCA became the first side to reach the last four by edging Kitara 1-0 at Booma in Hoima thanks to a first half strike from Muhammad Shaban.

The reigning Cup holders were made to suffer for the result later on but debutant Tom Ikara made some fine saves to keep the hosts at bay.

The feat means KCCA have now reached the last four of the competition for five successive seasons.

On Sunday, SC Villa ended KJT’s fairytale in the competition with a comfortable 3-0 victory at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

Martin Kizza, George Senkaaba and Ambrose Kirya netted for Wasswa Bbosa’s side that came bruised into the game after that 1-0 loss to Vipers in the league last week.

Action in the competition will continue next week with Vipers and Proline away to Kansai Plascon and Synergy respectively.
