KCCA have completed their third signing ahead of the 2022/23 football season after adding teenager Saidi Mayanja to their roster.

The 18-year-old has penned a five-year deal effective July 2022 to 2027.

The youngster is is described as a versatile midfielder, who can play central as well as defensive midfield, on the club website.

Mayanja is a former Edgar’s FC and Mydel Academy player.

He will be competing for a spot in the squad with the likes of Moses Waiswa, Faisal Wabyoona, Ashraf Mugume, and Emmanuel Wasswa among other players.

“I am overjoyed to sign for KCCA FC,” Mayanja is quoted on the club website.

“When the Manager told me he wants to work with me, I just could not hesitate.

“This is a very big club and I could not resist the opportunity to play for it.”

Mayanja added: “I know the competition here is pretty stiff since I have been training with club for a while but I am ready for it.

“I am here to compete just like all other players in the squad.”

Mayanja is currently in his first year at university. He pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Art and Design at Kampala University.

His signing follows that of Moses Waiswa and fellow teenager Faisal Wabyoona.
