KCCA seek first win over Vipers in three years

Reigning league champions KCCA host bogey side Vipers with a target for a maiden league victory over the Venoms in seven league meetings.

The Kasasiro haven’t picked maximum points off the Venoms since the 2013/14 season when goals from Herman Wasswa and Derrick Nsibambi downed Edward Golola’s side 2-1 at Lugogo.

Overall, the 12-time champions haven’t enjoyed the meetings either with just 3 wins in the last 14 meetings, lost 8 and there have been only 3 stalemates.

But the two sides meet in contrasting form – KCCA have won their last three outings scoring 12 goals and conceding none while Vipers have won just once in the same period, scoring 3 and conceding two.

All eyes will be on Muhammad Shaban who has netted four in the last two games while Vipers will hope Milton Karisa shines on the day.

It will also be the first time that Tom Masiko faces his former employers since his bitter transfer in August.

KCCA are second on the log with 19 points while Vipers are 5th with 17 points in 10 games.
