Police were good enough for a point at Lugogo after the cops put up a second half onslaught only for KCCA to wither the storm in the 1-1 draw on Thursday.

The result extended KCCA’s lead to seven points over Vipers in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL). They lead on 45 points.

Left wing back Mustafa Kizza gave KCCA a second minute lead with an exquisite freekick.

Juma Balinya scored levelled for Police with his league leading 12th goal of the season.

The forward run onto substitute Pius Kagwa’s through ball to lift the ball over Charles Lukwago.

The result left Police eighth on the log with 28 points after 20 games.

At Wankulukuku, Express goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga gifted Maroons midfielder Solomon Walusimbi with a goal after he fumbled with an easy effort.

In the 82nd minute, substitute Brian Umony forced Maroons Sylvester Okello into a foul that led to Tony Odur’s well converted penalty.

The 1-1 draw left Express ninth with 25 points and Maroons 13th.

Elsewhere Shafik Kagimu and Dickens Okwi notched doubles as URA and Paidha Black Angels defeated Kirinya-Jinja and Nyamityobora 2-0 respectively.
