  • KCCA Vs Synergy – StarTimes stadium, Lugogo 4pm [KCCA lead 1-0 on Agg]

Record Stanbic Uganda Cup finalists KCCA target yet another final when they host Synergy in the second leg semi-finals of the competition.

The Cup holders have an edge after winning 1-0 in Masaka and assistant coach Morley Byekwaso is confident of another final.

“We did not play that well during the first leg in Masaka although we won 1-0,” he told the press. “We missed a lot of goal scoring opportunities,” added Byekwaso who won the competition as Head Coach at SC Victoria University.

“KCCA FC being the defending champions, we have the pedigree and shall work hard as a team to win the return leg and progress.

Brian Ssenyondo, the visiting side’s tactician admits the hosts have the history and quality but Synergy respect but don’t fear them.

“We respect but do not fear KCCA,” said Ssenyondo. “When we faced them in Masaka, we created a lot of chances although we did not manage to convert any,” he added.

“The advantage is that I have a young pool of players who are willing to play their hearts out and battle during the game.

KCCA will reach the finals if they win or draw against the relegated FUFA Big League side.
