The 2015/16 Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) champions, KCCA, will conduct a series of bus parades through the city this week to celebrate the national title they won in May.
Information from the Lugogo-based club indicates that the parade will be conducted in five divisions of Kampala from Thursday to Saturday.
According to KCCA vice chairman, Godfrey Kisekka, the club have received green light from police and city authorities to carry out their celebrations.
“We have acquired an open bus similar to those used in Europe which will enable our fans in the city to see their heroes,” said Kisekka at Lugogo on Tuesday.
“We have been given anti-terrorism police to combat any threats and we believe this is yet another trend setter in the country’s football history.”
Day One of the procession will see the parade begin from Lugogo to Nakawa, through the city centre to the Old Taxi Park.
The parade will then head to Kabalagala, Kibuye, Makindye, Ndeeba and Wandegeya on Friday before climaxing in Mulago, Bwaise, Kawempe and Ntinda.
