KCCA 1-1 URA
StarTimes Uganda Premier League giants KCCA and URA settled for a 1-1 draw at a match played at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Saturday.
Julius Poloto and Derrick Nsibambi scored the goals as both sides made no positive movement on the table.
The only movement KCCA, fourth until Villa beat Arua Hill to dislodge them, and eighth placed URA made was to 13 and 10 points respectively.
Wakiso Giants lead the standings on 14 points following their 2-0 victory over Gaddafi on Friday.
It was an evenly contested affair at Lugogo on Saturday, but it is the visitors, URA, that posed the first serious question.
After 64 minutes of huffing and puffing, URA coach Sam Timbe withdrew George Senkaaba for former KCCA striker Nsibambi.
It took Nsibambi just a minute to punish his former bosses with his first touch as the striker took full advantage of Kabon Living’s pass.
But the hosts levelled matters on 69 minutes after Rogers Atube teed on Poloto, whose Man of the Match performance was rewarded with both the goal and Club Pilsner plaque and Shs100,000.
