Simba Vs KCCA – Bombo @ 4.30pm

If there are games runaway leaders KCCA have struggled to assert authority, it’s those against sides in the bottom six.

Besides the two games against SC Victoria University, the Kasasiro were second best in almost all games against those sides despite grinding out results against Maroons, Simba (first leg) and The Saints (first leg).

For that reason, KCCA Coach Mike Mutebi is wary of the threat posed by army side Simba who they visit on Tuesday a week after losing 2-1 to The Saints at home.

“There is no easy fixture in the league,” he told upl.co.ug. “We treat each game as it comes and Simba is no exceptional. We must be clinical and avoid mistakes we committed against Saints,” he added.

Speaking of mistakes that cost them against the Namanve based side, Mutebi told his club’s official website.

“They punished us for the mistakes we did and they deserved their victory. This is still a learning team and I think we shall have improved by the time we face Simba next week,” he said then before revealing the mistakes.

“We failed to clear the lines fast and this led to the penalty. We have been picking points from hard games like against Maroons, JMC and Bright Stars and I must admit we were a bit unlike this time. We have to win the next game before we take on Vipers in what is probably the league decider.”

In the reverse game at Nakivubo stadium, Tom Masiko and Muzamiru Mutyaba netted in the second half to cancel Patrick Owor’s first half strike.

With Vipers hosting SC Victoria University at Buikwe on the same day, KCCA will need to pick maximum points to keep gap at nine points ahead of the two side’s meeting dubbed ‘Title Decider’ next Friday.
