Bul 1-3 KCCA

Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) reigning champions KCCA returned to winning ways, coming from behind to beat Bul 3-1 in Jinja on Saturday.

The victory moved Mike Mutebi’s boys up to fourth on nine points – one behind Police, Vipers and Onduparaka, while Bul are ninth on six.

KCCA were coming off a goalless draw with URA, and with Vipers falling to leaders Police, the champions will have been pleased with themselves.

Bul took a surprise lead through Richard Wandyaka on 18 minutes as the hosts threatened to compound KCCA’s, who did not start the season well, woes.

But Paul Mucureezi levelled on 23 minutes. Tito Okello and Patrick Kaddu put it beyond Bul on 63 and 80 minutes respectively. Kaddu’s was his first in the league for KCCA.

KCCA have so far yet to get the groove they won the league with. Actually, this was only their second win in five matches.

However, they remain the only team out of the 16 yet to lose a game.
