Soana 0-4 KCCA
Muhammad Shaban is a house on fire. The KCCA striker on Saturday added onto his debut goal for the club a hat-trick in the 4-0 thrashing of Soana.
His strike partner Derrick Nsibambi added his customary odd goal as the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) defending champions kept pace up the table.
The victory ensures manager Mike Mutebi’s men keep within a point of Police, who lead standings on 20.
KCCA have, however, played one match more than Police. Defeat leaves Soana 11th on 13 points.
Shaban scored on his KCCA debut as they beat Police on Wednesday.
The striker was playing his first game of the season after completing one of the most protracted transfers – from Onduparaka – in Uganda’s history.
He added to that a hat-trick on Saturday on 42, 67 and 89 minutes to become the club’s joint top scorer on four. Tito Okello is also on four for KCCA.
Nsibambi grabbed his third of the season on 71 minutes.
