Kitara 2-6 KCCA
UPDF 2-1 SC Villa
There were mixed fortunes on Friday and KCCA posted a huge come-from-behind victory over Kitara and UPDF completed a double over SC Villa.
Sam Ssenyonjo scored four times as 10-man KCCA rallied to beat relegated Kitara 6-2 in Masindi as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) nears conclusion.
The visitors trailed 2-1 at half time and had to deal with defender Denis Iguma being sent off after recess.
But Ssenyonjo’s goals in the sixth, 57th, 65th and 67th minutes meant little of the above hurt coach Morley Byekwaso’s men.
Charles Lwanga and Andrew Kawooya scored the other goals for KCCA, who consolidate fourth place with 48 points.
Vincent Kasoki and Nathan Oloro scored bottom-placed Kitara’s consolation.
Elsewhere, Robert Eseru scored a brace as army side UPDF beat SC Villa 2-1 at Bombo.
The striker netted in either half to render Joseph Nsubuga’s penalty for Villa inconsequential.
Victory lifts UPDF to eighth place with 37 points while Villa are 10th with a point fewer.
