Fred Amaku scored the winning goal as Kirinya-Jinja SS returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win over UPDF at Bombo on Tuesday.
The former Paidha Angels striker scored in the 33rd minute to settle a hotly contested affair in Bombo.
Both sides came into the game on the back of defeats and were desperate for points.
Charles Ayiekoh’s Kirinya had narrowly and controversially lost to Onduparaka in Arua coming into this while UPDF could not prevail over Mbarara City at Kakyeka.
Kirinya move seventh on the log with 17 points after eleven games while UPDF remain rooted at the base of the 16-team with six points.
At Kakindu Stadium, Fred Agandu was the hero for Bul as Kefa Kisala’s men finally picked three points in a long time for a 1-0 victory over Proline.
Victory has Bul two places above relegation on 12 points, while Proline are a place below them on 11.
In Mwererwe, Nelson Senkatuka grabbed a 90th minute equaliser, also his sixth of the season, as Bright Stars rallied for a point against resilient Masavu in the 1-1 draw.
An Akram Kakembo own goal had gifted the visitors the lead before Senkatuka intervened.
Elsewhere, Maroons and Mbarara City played out a goalless draw in Luzira.
