KCCA 0-0 Kirinya-Jinja
KCCA settled for just a point after Kirinya-Jinja held them to a goalless draw at StarTimes Stadium on Tuesday.
The result left then two points behind leaders Vipers, who moved to six following their 2-1 victory over Maroons.
Coach Charles Ayiekoh’s Kirinya were recording their second point in as many matches.
The visitors generally matched KCCA for good apwlla spells of the game.
But it is the hosts who came closest to scoring when Kirinya goalkeeper Didi Mohamad stopped substitute Allan Kyambadde’s ferocious shot on minutes.
Muzamir Mutyaba also struck the upright for KCCA and Kirinya’s Joel Madondo failed to make the most of it when he beat Timothy Awany the other end.
“Every team that comes here wants to test themselves against us,” said KCCA coach Mike Mutebi.
“Kirinya played well but we shall continue playing our way. We have to keep up the standards.”
Ayiekoh praised his boys. “We showed character and to come here and pick a point is not easy.”
