Kirinya Vs Police – Bugembe 4.30pm

Kirinya Jinja SS coach Charles Ayiekoh has urged his charges to use the same spirit as exhibited against Proline if they are to win against Police.

Kirinya hosts the former champions in one of the league games on Tuesday targeting revenge over the Cops.

Willy Macro scored into his own net in the reverse fixture to hand the Cops a slim 1-0 victory at Namboole.

“We didn’t allow them time on the ball and pressed them high,” said Ayiekoh in reference to win over Proline. “And once we scored, we knew we had it. Now we must carry the same spirit into our next game against Police.

The Students spent much of the time in their debut campaign fighting for survival and Ayiekoh wants none of that this time round.

“We want to pick as many points as possible so as to avoid the late relegation struggles. We want to finish in the top half of the table.

Meanwhile, Police 5th on the table welcome striker Basani Saafi from injury but are unlikely to have goalie Davis Mutebi fit for the game after he was carried off against Mbarara City with an injury.

Norman Ojik returns to the stadium where he scored lots of goals for Sadolin Paints and will be eager to add on his tally of two for the season.
