Gaddafi 1-2 Kitara
StarTimes Uganda Premier League newcomers, Kitara FC, continued their flawless start to top flight football by coming from behind to beat Gaddafi 2-1 in Jinja on Friday.
Thomas Ochungo put the hosts ahead on 34 minutes when he turned in Ibrahim Kiyemba’s assist but the visitors struck twice through Kabon Living and George Ssekaaba on 58 and 74 minutes to claim all three points.
The result at Gaddafi Arena catapulted coach Brian Ssenyondo’s side to the summit of the 16-team league table on nine points.
The Masindi-based side are also the first team to win all their three opening matches.
Kitara beat SC Villa 2-1 in their opening match on their return to top flight football, following that with a 1-0 victory away to UPDF and now this.
On their part, Gaddafi are bottom of the log after losing all their three opening matches, scoring only two goals against six.
