Express improved their chances of surviving the drop by seeing off Bul 2-0 in an Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) match played at Wankulukuku on Tuesday.
Former Onduparaka striker Alfred Leku turned in a man of the match performance setting up both goals for Isaac Kisujju and Michael Birungi.
This was only the Red Eagles fourth victory in 17 matches and Bul’s eighth defeat of the campaign.
The result was, however, not enough to move second from bottom Express out of the relegation zone with Masavu holding Maroons to stay one point ahead on 16.
It, however, moved the Red Eagles to 15 points, six behind 10th placed Bul.
