Vipers 0-0 Volcan de Moroni
Uganda’s CAF Confederations Cup representatives Vipers were held in a goalless draw by minnows Volcan de Moroni of Comoros at Namboole on Saturday.

New signing, Milton Karisa was preferred to lead the line with the experienced duo of Erisa Ssekisambu and Tony Odur and he looked lively but without getting on the score sheet.
The youngster, from Bul kept the visitors’ on tenterhooks but shot wide twice inside 11 minutes before forcing a good save from the Moroni goalkeeper.
Odur also had an attempt tipped over the bar for a corner in a first half that also new signing Moses Waiswa shoot over the bar from close range.
Richard Wasswa made changes in the second half with Brian Kakaire, Francis Onekalit and Ibrahim Kayiwa coming on but the visitors sat behind to frustrate the endless attacks and the jubilation at the final whistle showed how important, a draw meant to the visitors.
The two teams meet in the second leg on Saturday in Moroni with a score draw enough to see Vipers sail to the next round.
