KCCA 1-0 SC Villa
KCCA bounced back from the defeat to URA by beating crosstown rivals SC Villa 1-0 on Sunday.
Young striker Charles Lwanga scored the all important goal with just over quarter of the game to play.
KCCA’s 10th win in 18 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches saw them return to fourth place, displacing Police.
Coach Morley Byekwaso’s men now have 33 points, nine behind leaders Vipers and URA.
Lwanga put the home side ahead at the MTN Phillip Omondi on 73 minutes, the striker picking the ball from Filbert Obenchan mid-way the halfway line.
He then beat the field to score his ninth goal of the season, just one shy of the two joint top scorers Yunus Ssentamu Junior and Steven Mukwala.
This was Villa’s, suffering their fifth defeat and picking up eight wins, remain sixth on 29 points.
