Maroons 3-2 Bright Stars

Maroons shot themselves into the top three of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table after edging a five-goal thriller in a 3-2 victory over Bright Stars in Luzira on Saturday.

Coach Douglas Bamweyana’s men are now third on nine points in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL), behind Onduparaka on goal difference and leaders SC Villa by a point.

And they were out of the blocks early, Abraham Tusubira putting them ahead on six minutes before Rashid Agau doubled the advantage 14 minutes after the break.

Augustine Gadaffi pulled one back for Bright Stars on 66 minutes. The visitors then thought they had salvaged a point when Sulaiman Sekagya Ssebbunza levelled from the spot on 76 minutes but Steven Mukwali broke their hearts with the winner nine from full time.
