Maroons end winless streak

New league entrants Maroons ended a four-match winless streak with a 1-0 victory over hosts Bright Stars at Matugga.

Asaph Mwebaze’s side came into the game on the back of four games without victory and goal but Felix Okot’s strike in the 70^th minute proved to fetch maximum points.

Okot scored from a long range effort that left goalie Hamza Muwonge helpless.

The maximum points saw the Prisons’ side move from the base of the log to 12^th with four points whilst Bright Stars, whose unbeaten run was ended, dropped to 7^th with six points.
