Maroons 1-0 Proline
Sydney Cheka scored the only goal of the match in Luzira as Maroons edged out Proline 1-0 in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) on Tuesday.
At Wankulukuku, there was nothing to separate hosts Express and Bright Stars as the two played out a goalless draw.
Victory for Maroons, their third in eight matches, moves coach Asaph Mwebaze five places up to fifth on 12 points.
Defeat for coach Mujib Kasule’s Proline, their fourth, drops them two places to ninth on 10 points.
At Wankulukuku, it looks like Express cannot even buy victory after failing to win in their last three matches.
Coach Douglas Bamweyana’s side had the lion’s share of ball against Bright Stars but couldn’t make anything out of it.
The result moves Express one place up to 12th on eight points with as many points.
Coach Fred Kajoba’s Bright Stars also move one up to seventh with 11 points.
