Maroons 2-0 Arua Hill

Maroons picked up yet another three points in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Arua Hill at the Prisons Ground in Luzira on Tuesday.

Abel Eturude and Darius Ojok scored Maroons goals in either half for the Luzira side to move four places up to sixth on 25 points from 18 matches.

Maroons took the lead on six minutes when Eturude found the back of the net. There was a contest after that but Maroons made sure of all three points when Ojok doubled the lead 18 minutes to full time.

Fresh from beating Wakiso Giants 2-1 in their last outing, Maroons are building up some encouraging momentum.

The same cannot be said of coach Livingstone Mbabazi’s Arua Hill. Coming into this one, the Kongolo had lost 3-2 to KCCA, with their last point coming in the 1-1 draw at Wakiso Giants in the first round.

Arua Hill drop one place to ninth on 23 points. What will encourage the Kongolo, however, is that they have two matches in hand, which could take them to the same 29 points third-placed BUL have if they won them.
