Wakiso Giants 0-1 SC Villa

Five-star Maroons ended matchday 13 in third place of the StarTimesUganda Premier League table after thumping visiting Gaddafi 5-0 at the Prisons Ground in Luzira on Saturday.

Patrick Bayiga, Abel Eturude, David Ndihabwe, Abraham Tusubirwa and Fred Amaku scored Maroons goals for the Prisons side to move to 25 points, seven and one behind leaders BUL and Kitara respectively.

The opening three goals came in the first half before the hosts added icing on the cake after the break.

Gaddafi’s eighth defeat in 13 matches left the Jinja side just a place above relegation as the first round nears the end.

Elsewhere, 16-time record champions, SC Villa, made it two in two identical 1-0 wins when they edged Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Charles Lwanga scored the game’s only on 60 minutes for the Jogoos, who beat Gaddafi coming into this, to move into fifth place on 22 points.

Wakiso Giants are seven spots below with 13 points. Action resumes on Tuesday.
