Former Ugandan Cranes defender Simeon Masaba is the new assistant head coach at Onduparaka after being unveilled at GreenLight Stadium.

Masaba, who now deputises Livingstone Mbabazi, had earlier on Tuesday been introduced to the players.

Mbabazi has been without an assistant for the one and a half seasons he has been at the club.

“We believe in Simeon,” Onduparaka chairman Nyakuni Benjamin told the club website.

“He has proved to us that he really wants to work with us as he was only informed two days ago but managed to travel immediately.”

Masaba played with Police, SC Villa and URA before retiring in 2015.

He is one of the longest serving right backs for the national team and is remembered for his well times offensive runs and quality crosses.
