  • Masavu Vs Express – Fisheries Ground, Bugonga 4pm

Masavu and Express face off at Bugonga on the final day in what is arguably the Premier League Play off for survival.

The two sides come into the game with a chance to stay up despite being the duo occupying the bottom two places on the table.

Although a win may not be enough for either, both coaches are confident and target maximum points.

“So many people have written us off but the mathematics still keeps us in,” Joseph Mutyaba, the Masavu in charge tactician told upl.co.ug. “We shall go in targeting maximum points and the boys are confident,” he added.

For Shafik Bisaso, not even a humiliating loss to Vipers in the last game has changed what they target as they visit Masavu.

“We (Express Football Club) shall survive,” he said. “We are working hard as a team and we know the expectations of such a club,” added Bisaso.

“We shall not rest until we achieve our targets.

The Red Eagles will have forwards Michael Birungi, Joseph Semujju and Alfred Leku back in the team as well as midfielder Davis Mayanja and defender Shafik ‘Nana’ Kizito.

The five missed the defeat at Vipers due to various reasons.

Abraham Ndugwa, Arthur Semazzi, James Kasibante and Ivan Lubale will be the key men for the hosts.

A win for the hosts will lift them to 29 points, above the Red Eagles and Proline if they falter at home to URA and also UPDF lose badly at Kitende.

The visitors must win and also hope Proline doesn’t win by same margin over URA or at best Mujib Kasule’s side falters against Sam Ssimbwa’s side.
