Masavu called on some magic on Wednesday when they upset Express 2-1 at the Red Eagles own stadium, Wankuluku.
Ddumba Sadala and Abraham Ndugwa were on target for Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) new boys while Dan Sserunkuma got the hosts consolation.
Masavu’s only second victory in 10 matches moves them one place up to 15th in a 16-team league.
Express, who have struggled in the last couple of seasons, are also in the relegation zone with eight points, just one better than Masavu.
The Red Eagles next game is away to resilient Proline, while Masavu host Bul.
