Express are looking for looking for a fourth coach in two years after Matia Lule shocked the club by resigning.
Lule only signed a contract late last year at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku having been charged with steering a struggling team following the sacking of Wasswa Bbosa and Alex Gitta.
Speaking to upl.co.ug, the former KCCA and Entebbe coach said it was a difficult decision but one he had to take to protect his CV revealing the club hasn’t paid him and his staff for four months.
“In some ways this has been a very difficult decision to make, but in others it has been a simple one,” he said.
I have a CV to protect and working under such conditions of nonpayment can’t work. I have a family to look after as well.
Lule who guided the Red Eagles to sixth last season and also led them to the semi-finals of the Uganda Cup said it was long overdue and opened arms to suitors.
I am now available since Express breached the terms of the contract.
The six-time league champions open their 2017/18 AUPL campaign with a home game against Kirinya Jinja SS on Wednesday September 13, 2017.
Lule is linked with a move to DR Congo side Bukavu.
At the moment, former Express star Edward Kalungi is in charge of the side on interim basis.
