New league entrants Mbarara City wary of the threat posed by bottom placed UPDF who they host on Saturday at Kakyeeka.

The Ankole Lions, 12th on the 16 team log with 10 points are winless in the last four games ever since their 2-1 victory over log leaders Police and head into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Kirinya Jinja SS.

On the other hand, bottom of the log UPDF, with six points in 10 games come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with giants Vipers and Coach Steven Bogere will be eager to build on that.

“We were a little unfortunate not to win against Vipers,” he said. “But a point against one of the league’s favourites isn’t bad and we hope to build on that in Mbarara,” he added.

It will be the first ever meeting between the two sides in a top flight game.
