Mbarara City have been left on the brink of ending their stay in the premier league after losing 2-1 to Arua Hill at Barifa on Sunday.

Solomon Okwalinga gave the visitors the lead but goals from former Ankole Lions midfielder Ivan Eyam and Alfred Leku changed the tide of the game.

Defeat leaves the Western Ugandan based side on 22 points in 15th place, four adrift of safety with three games to play.

Arua Hill consolidate fifth place with 46 points and could garner more in their first season in the top tier.

With Soltilo Bright Stars beating Gaddafi 1-0 on Saturday, relegation fight is now real for Mbarara, Police, Busoga United, SC Villa and Gaddafi with two from them to join already relegated Tooro United.

BUL and Onduparaka played to a goalless draw at Bugembe on Saturday.
