SUPL Tuesday result

Mbarara United 0-0 Vipers SC

Tooro United 1-1 URA

Vipers SC new coach Fred Kajoba did not get the start he desired as a battling Mbarara United held the three-time league winners to a goalless draw at Bombo Barracks on Tuesday.

The result, coupled with KCCA’s 2-0 victory away to Kyetume, sees the Kitende side cede ground to the chasing StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) reigning champions.

With 43 points, Vipers lead has now been cut to only two, with KCCA moving to 41. Both teams have played the same 19 matches.

In Fort Portal, home side Tooro United came from behind to salvage a point off URA. Charles Musiige’s 64th minute equalizer canceled out Michael Birungi’s goal that came 10 minutes earlier.

The result leaves Tooro bottom of the table with 15 points. This was the first time URA were dropping points in four second round matches, leaving the tax collectors fifth on 30 points.
