Mbarara City 2-0 Maroons
Mbarara City made it two out of two wins when they beat sorry Maroons 2-0 at Kavumba Recreation Centre on Saturday.
Ibrahim Orit and Wol Makueth’s goals in either half were enough to hand coach Livingston Mbabazi’s men all three points.
Orit gave the hosts the lead half way the first half before Makueth ensured a second successive victory for the Western Uganda side five minutes from full time.
This was another impressive performance from Mbarara, who came from the international break having seen off Express 3-1.
Victory sees Mbarara move up the table to sixth on as many points. For Maroons, there are clear signs that they are missing coach Asaph Mwebaze, the new Onduparaka coach, who left during off-season.
The two men in charge at Luzira now, coach George Nsimbe and his deputy David Obua, have struggled to put their act together in their first three matches.
Maroons are rooted at the basement of the table with no points having lost all three, scoring two goals and conceding seven.
Mbarara are next in action away to Nyamityobora on Wednesday. Maroons will host URA on the same day.
