Tuesday results

Mbarara City 2:1 KCCA

URA 2-1 Proline

KCCA fell straight into a Mbarara City landmine as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) champions fell 2-1 to the hosts on Tuesday.

In Bombo, Proline also fell prey to a URA attack, the otherwise rejuvenated side losing by the same scoreline to the taxmen.

It is the visitors KCCA that went ahead in Mbarara, Sam Ssenyonjo giving them a 19th minute lead.

But the hosts levelled matters when starman Orit Ibrahim ensured it went into the break in equal footing on 28 minutes before Swalik Bebe Segujja won it 19 minutes from full time.

The result kept KCCA in fourth place on 26 points, eight behind leaders Vipers, who have played two matches more.

Winners Mbarara move three places up to ninth on 19 points.

In Bombo, Cromwel Rwothomio scored the winner in added time in the 2-1 win over Proline to move six places up to sixth on 20 points.

Said Kyeyune’s 43rd minute opener for the hosts had been cancelled out by Proline’s Edrisa Lubega on 73 minutes. Proline remain bottom on nine points.
