Mbarara’s Mbalangu promises to bounce back

Mbarara City coach Hussein Mbalangu was left ruing missed chances after his side fell to a late Musa Mudde penalty in the 1-0 defeat to UPDF on Saturday.

While insisting UPDF were lucky to run away with all three points, the Ankole Lions coach remained upbeat about their chances of rectifying the situation after the international break.

“I still demand precision and proficiency from my forwards Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Mudde and and Frank Yiga,” reaffirmed Mbalangu as he reflected on the missed chances, one of them falling to Jude Ssemugabi, who twice failed to finish off one-on-one situations.

”We shall definitely come back stronger. We shall use the international break to address areas we need to improve on.”

Saturday ‘s defeat was Mbarara’s third in five matches, and left them ninth on the 16-team log with six points.
