Bright Stars 1-1 Onduparaka
URA moved one place up to fifth in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table following a narrow 1-0 victory over SC Villa at Namboole on Saturday.
Patrick Mbowa was the tax collectors hero as URA won just their fifth match in 16 attempts to move to 25 points, 12 behind leaders KCCA. Mbowa ensured of all three points seven minutes from half time.
This was SC Villa’s sixth defeat in their worst start of a league campaign ever, managing just two victories in 16 matches.
The 16-time record league champions remained just a place above relegation with 14 points.
Elsewhere, Rashid Toha scored 11 minutes after half time to cancel out Nelson Senkatuka’s early goal and salvage a point for Onduparaka at the Champions Stadium in Mwererwe.
The result lifted Bright Stars one place up to eighth on 21 points, while Onduparaka dropped two to sixth on 25.
