Uganda vs Zambia
Uganda Cranes and URA defender Paul Mbowa believes his teammates have learnt a lot during the national team’s camp in West Africa.
The Cranes are currently engaged in a Pre-Chan mini-tournament to help them fine-tune ahead of the January/February home-based competition finals in Cameroon.
Uganda drew their first friendly match against the hosts 1-1 in Yaounde last Friday, and face Zambia on Monday before wrapping up against Niger three days later.
“I thank the coaches who have built a lot of confidence and trust in the team,” said the Uganda Premier League (UPL) star.
“The match against Cameroon built our confidence so deep,” he added.
“We went into that match expecting to learn a lot. Zambia will be a good test as they were in the stands when we played against Cameroon.”
Zambia is managed by former Uganda Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic.
The Cranes are pooled in Group C of Chan finals alongside defending champions Morocco, Rwanda and Togo.
